Indigo Children: Fact or Fiction?

Indigo Children: Fact or Fiction? The new age children have been variously described of late as Indigos (because of the supposed color of their auras), Star Kids (because of their purported origination from other worlds), Crystals (because some say they are highly developed), and so forth.  Easy-spanish-rice-recipe. Professionals in the field of child development and education, parents, even the Indigo children themselves, are having problems with the idea that certain character traits are the sole province of special youngsters when, in fact, the vast majority of today's children match those same traits – without evidencing anything like a purple aura, or being a hybrid from another planet, or possessing "god-like" wisdom.  Being supersensitive, confident, highly intelligent, unusually creative, nonconformist, extraordinarily psychic and spiritually aware, impatient, empathic, able to heal or aid others in significant ways, abstracting at young ages, spatial learner

What Is the Indigo Movement ?

What Is the Indigo Movement ?

In the New Age Movement, indigo children are children who are believed to represent a higher state of human evolution. The term itself is a reference to the belief that such children have indigo" life colours." Baked-shrimp-risotto.
Beliefs concerning the exact nature of indigo children vary, with some believing that they have paranormal abilities such as the ability to read minds, and others that they are distinguished from non-indigo children merely by more conventional traits such as increased empathy and creativity.

The term indigo children originates from the 1986 book Understanding Your Life Through Colour by Nancy Ann Tappe, who stated she was a synesthete and could see "auras" around people. She wrote that during the mid 1960s she began noticing that many children were being born with indigo life colours. She then went on to explain how these "life colours" or "Auras" show that Indigo Children are getting more in number.

The idea of indigo children was later popularized by the 1998 book The Indigo Children by the husband-and-wife team of Lee Caroll and Jan Tober.

At this point we would like to mention that recently Nancy Ann Tappe has retracted her claims, and along with Lee Caroll and Jan Tober she has backed away from the Indigo movement.
Followers of the Indigo belief system believe that Indigo children have psychic ability and are more highly evolved than other children.

There is a call from many to have special schools for "Indigo Children" to make sure they are educated amongst their own and outside an education system that in their opinion does not allow from the Indigo Child's specail abilities and needs. It is also suggested by many believers that they should not associate with non-indigo children.

In addition this movement suggests that children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, ADD and Autism have actually been misdiagnosed. They state that they are actually Indigo Children who have been given these "labels" simply due to a lack of understanding by professionals.

They encourage parents of such children to fight against this by turning down medication for their children, or any therapies suggested, or any special education. The movement also dismisses Mental Health problems. As well as children, adults are targeted on this issue.

We have Indigo Children, Crystal Adults, Star Children. but basically it all revolves around the same idea of people born with an "Indigo" aura around them. Both with children and adults the movement suggests that people with many mental health issues (especially Bi-Polar) are actually Indigo and should not enter into any form of treatment be it medication or any other therapy.

Very simply someone tells a parent their child is Indigo and many parents start to look into it and believe it. Of course children brought up being told they are Indigo's pass it on to their children and so it continues. It appears that people with Autistic children and children with ADHD are sought out much of the time but anybody can be approached.

There are numerous sites online where you can take the "Indigo Test" that shows whether you are an Indigo or not. Again, once some people believe the word gets passed on and the movement grows.
Interestingly very many of the adults we have come across who have joined this movement have previously been diagnosed with various mental health problems. Cool.Strawberry-banana-pudding-icebox-cake.

Do you belong to one of the five indigo generations?

Do you belong to one of the five indigo generations? One of the most renowned researchers of the New Age phenomena is Ms. Lori Johnson, who worked on the Indigo generation almost scientifically and divided it into five categories according to the date of birth of children. Alpha Generation Strawberry-shortcake-cake. The first generation, which was called Alpha, includes children born in the period from 1958 to 1968. Their aura was dark blue and green with purple shades and was under the influence of the metallic beige protecting them from external attacks and excessive early showing of indigo potential. Since early childhood, the Alpha had a feeling of being different, as if they did not belong to their place, country or parents. The reasons for this difference were always vague and never found a satisfactory explanation. The period of awakening of the Alpha generation is from 1986 until 1996. Beta generation They are people born in the period betwe
