Why are they called Indigo Children? The name refers to the colour indigo, and the phenomenon of the Indigo Children was first publicly announced  in 1982, in a book “Understanding your Life through Color”, by Nancy Ann Tappe. Indigo Spirit The anatomy of the Indigo Spirit is by far the most complicated part of these souls.
